We will be discussing the purpose of this initiative & the video below.\u00a0 The video is the first in a series produced by the Virginia United Methodist Conference under the leadership of the Rev. Jeff Mickle and features the Rev. Larry Jent, a retired\u00a0United Methodist pastor and a Native American.\u00a0 He traces some of the roots of racism and helps us to better understand the challenges we are faced with today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 Anyone is welcome to join the discussion – church members, family, friends, neighbors, coworkers.\u00a0 We want to build on the Belmont UMC vision and the work of the Rev.
