Racial Justice Network

As part of Belmont’s heritage of racial reconciliation, the Racial Justice Network is offering a gathering via zoom on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. This Network brings people together to discuss racial justice concerns and the current issues of the day regarding racial justice and opportunities on how we can make a difference in this area. Please contact MaryKaye Cochran at 804-521-1124 if you are interested in joining this effort or email her at racialjnetwork@gmail.com.

The Racial Justice Network in partnership with the Cornelius Corp https://corneliuscorps.org/ will be offering a conference titled: “Resisting Racial Justice in the Way of Jesus”. This will be held on February 28, 2026 at Belmont UMC and will offer a time for worship, learning, and sharing in the area of spiritual formation, non-violent direct action and conversations. The keynote speaker will be Rev. Ben Campbell, Richmond Hill founder and civil rights activist. A flyer for this event is below.
