For the May 22nd service, Rev. Dr. Gwen Andrews preached a message from Acts 16:9-15. This is the story of Paul going down to the river to find a place of prayer. He encounters Lydia and Paul offered her the Good News of Jesus Christ. Lydia and her household received the message and were baptized by Paul and became believers. Pastor Julio Serrano led the choir in music.
On May 15th, the message focused on a passage from Acts 11:1-18 where Peter conveyed to the church leadership that God’s love is for all people. No one is to be excluded from the grace of God. God welcomes the Jews and the Gentiles. This is a call for the church of today to be an inclusive church where all are welcomed with the hospitality of Jesus. Pastor Larry preached the message with Alain Peguero leading the music.
The message on Mother’s Day, May 8 focused on the passage from Acts 9:36-43. This passage was about the story of Peter praying to God that Tabitha would be raised from the dead. We are challenged to love all the people God places in our lives because we answer “yes” to the question that Jesus asks us, “Do You Love Me?”. Rev.
