Join us on October 13th at our 11:00 service for a powerful homecoming celebration which includes a great meal in our fellowship room right after worship. Rev. Dr. Joseph Crockett will be offering a message on “Getting to Jesus”. Rev. Crockett will be preaching from Mark 2: 1-12 where four friends lowered their paralyzed friend down to Jesus through the roof of the house where Jesus was staying. They couldn’t get through the crowd to bring him to Jesus so they chose this way of getting to Jesus. For more than 35 years, Joseph V. Crockett, CEO of Friendship Press, has served in a variety of ministry positions in response to his ordination as an elder in The United Methodist Church. He has worked as a student-pastor, associate pastor, pastor of a two-point charge, editor, and seminary professor. Before his election to lead the reactivation of Friendship Press, Inc., he was an Associate General Secretary for the National Council of Churches of Christ in the U.S.A. Joseph and his wife Renee were active participants at Belmont UMC for a number of years and contributed greatly to the life of the church.

Remind her put the total the armor of God ye ready.Go in go in declare and decree everything God’s going to give you the words be ready I’m nobody important just that when I heard first heard your voice and I listened to you talk you took me back when I was a girl and I had a voice to fight and speak up speak loud and I didn’t have no fear in me but I allowed the thing that they did to get to me and I took it personal I really felt bad but when I come to the light that what I was supposed to do the way I thought is not the way God wanted me to fight but I still got that fight but I’m old now my body fighting me now I’m fighting a bigger bed I’m fighting my flesh but I wanted to tell you that I really wanted to talk to you I’m not a good writer I don’t I was angry all the days I was in school cuz it was so much racism and I and I and I stood up I didn’t care about you know what I ain’t worried about graduating I know God told me I got a job I ain’t got to worry about that and I said what I want you people to know is this you came here the same way I came here the senators the truck all them folks and support him what they don’t realize is they’re supporting a ticket to hell what they don’t realize that because God has called this baby oh glory Lord Jesus thank you I said they better watch their steps because see the words they speaking is going backfire on them and I just I asked the Lord today I said Lord in the name of Jesus put your hand all the way around this baby I got people praying for I don’t talk about this baby I see y’all got to hear her for yourself I said not with your eyes but your ears here I said the Bible say you got to have an ear to hear and I said she is called by God as they want her to speak up and that’s the only reason they want her to speak up is cuz they don’t want to get hurt but you go in the name of Jesus he said there is no weapon formed against you it’s your prosper and I’m a dead believer that word baby because I believe all my life and I said I know I should have been there cuz I talk smart to hear about it and I didn’t care I mean that’s not the right word that’s I’m just a plain spoke spoken person and and when I start preaching the word of God then I really saw what God was trying to teach me I said well I was still young but I wasn’t as young as I was when I had all that anger in me and he said you got to let it go and he’s because that’ll keep you out of my kingdom so don’t take it personal it’s not about you it’s about who you serve that’s who brought you here and he brought you here for a purpose live or die he brought you here for a purpose and I said are you if your member correctly and when oh god I’ve got her name she was a woman and her uncle told her that she had to go before the king to tell him what they were plotting and he said that he said you might die and she said if I live or die glory Lord all right so what I’m saying to you is Joshua says as for me and my household we’re going to serve the Lord and whatever cause because it doesn’t really gain anything this world if you don’t stand up for righteous and truth and I see that in you truth and I love that cuz I have I told you I learned to face me talking to everybody else didn’t bother I’m the worst nothing in the world and I’m going to talk but I can’t do what you doing because I messed up but I just want to encourage you I’ve been trying to I’m a lousy writer I didn’t I didn’t like school because I was angry and I wanted to say these words you because you are precious soul and I said I see a lot of beautiful things in you and I said I listen to you talk and I said you ain’t got to tell people you. They hear it they hear it they might not confess it up but they hear it so when they when today I was having a somebody call me and told me your girls on and I said okay what state and she’s in YouTube that’s okay so I went to it and you were talking to Trump and I said I start praying and God said then enemies is going to come after her so I said I called my friends that we got to go together and declare and decree that these demons can’t touch this baby as this baby’s got to work that God wants her to do and she’s going to accomplish in the name of Jesus she will accomplish it so I just want to encourage you down that it’s okay as long as you trust
