Our April 6th service focused on the story of Zaccheaeus as he sought to get a view of Jesus when he came into Jericho. Zaccheaeus was shown mercy and grace by Jesus and this changed his life. Jesus can do the same for us. Pastor Larry offered the message while Mark Blankenship led the choir in music.
Join us for Holy Week services at Belmont. Our Good Friday service will be held at 7:00 on April 18th. This will be a tenebrae service where we remember what Jesus did for us when he died on the cross. Our Easter celebration will be held at 11:00 on April 20th. This will be a powerful, inspiring service as we remember the resurrection of Jesus and what that means for each one of us.

The March 23rd service focused on our call to rest, to spend time in prayer and scripture reading so that we can be all that God would have us be. We are in a time when rest is vital for your well being. When we rest, we can experience growth in our spiritual lives. Rev. Worship for March 16th centered on the story of Mary and Martha. Each of them demonstrated the importance of spending time with Jesus and serving. Rev. Dr. Gwen Andrews offered the message based on Luke 10:38-42. Guest musician Chris Fuller led the choir in music.
The worship service on March 9th focused on the story of the Good Samaritan. We looked at what does it mean to be a neighbor following the words of Jesus in Luke 10: 25-37. Rev. Jim Melson offered the message with Mark Blankenship leading the choir in music. Marina Keyvellou offered a solo “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus”. On this transfiguration Sunday, the service was centered on the scripture from Luke 9:28-36 with an emphasis on the passage where Gods speaks from the cloud saying “This is my Son, my chosen, listen to him.” Pastor Larry Cochran offered the message and Mark Blankenship led the choir in music. On February 23rd, the worship service centered on the message from Jesus to “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Rev. Dr. Gwen Andrews offered the message from Luke 6:27-38. Mark Blankenship led the choir in music. After the service, the church gathered in the Upper Room for a luncheon celebrating Black History Month.
