On this mother’s day, the worship service focused on the importance of listening to God and to eachother. There are many ways to do this but the scripture points us in the right direction. Rev. Larry Cochran offered the message from John 10:22-30. Mark Blankenship led the choir in music.
The worship service for May 4th focused on Jesus appearance on the beach where he cooked breakfast for the disciples. He spoke with Peter and asked him 3 times if he loved him. He reinstated Peter after Peter had denied Jesus 3 times. The question “Do you love me?” is a question for all of us in our life of faith. Pastor Larry offered the message based on John 21. Our April 6th service focused on the story of Zaccheaeus as he sought to get a view of Jesus when he came into Jericho. Zaccheaeus was shown mercy and grace by Jesus and this changed his life. Join us for Holy Week services at Belmont. Our Good Friday service will be held at 7:00 on April 18th. This will be a tenebrae service where we remember what Jesus did for us when he died on the cross. Our Easter celebration will be held at 11:00 on April 20th. This will be a powerful, inspiring service as we remember the resurrection of Jesus and what that means for each one of us.
