The service for February 9th centered on the call that Jesus placed on Peter, Andrew, James and John as they left their fishing nets on the shore and left everything to follow Jesus. Rev. On January 26th, the worship service focused on Jesus words in Luke 4 where he proclaimed what his mission was to be: to bring the good news to the poor, to proclaim release to the prisoners, recovery sight to the blind, to liberate the oppressed and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor. Rev. Dr. Gwen Andrews offered the message and Mark Blankenship led the choir in music.
On January 19 Rev. Dr. Gwen Andrews offered the message from John 2, the story of Jesus changing water into wine. The message pointed us to how this story makes a difference in our lives today. Mark Blankenship led the choir in music.
On January 12th, Rev. Autumn Merrill offered the message from Luke 3: 15-22. The service focused on Jesus’ baptism and what it means for us in our faith journey. In the midst of the baptism, God said, “You are my son, whom I dearly love; in you I find happiness”. The message here is for all of us.

On this last Sunday of 2024, the worship service focused on the story of Jesus when he was 12 years old. He remained in Jerusalem after the Passover feast while Mary and Joseph traveled to Nazareth. Our Christmas Eve service brought to the church the story of the birth of Jesus. The message focused on the shepherds, how God came to them first with the message of the birth of the baby in the manger. Pastor Larry Cochran shared the message from Luke 2:1-20.
