On Christmas day, a service of lessons and carols was offered in worship. Dr. Michael Ross led the music. The service featured readings by Gin Steffen, Dave Barden, Diane Patton and Ed Patton. MaryKaye Cochran and Michael Ross sang a duet titled “Christmas Day.”

Hope in a Manger

Our Christmas Eve service focused on the hope that is found in the manger. Jesus came into the world to offer us hope, a hope that is eternal. Jesus came to be our savior. Rev. Dr. Gwen Andrews offered the message. A solo was offered by Kay Nicholas, “Sweet, baby Jesus boy”. Dr. Michael Ross led us in music.

Christmas Services

Join us as we celebrate the birth of Jesus at Belmont UMC. Christmas Eve candlelight service on the 24th will be held at 7:00 PM. Christmas Day service of Lessons and Carols on the 25th at 10:00 AM. Christmas Cantata

The choir under the direction of Dr. Michael Ross led us in worship with our annual Christmas Cantata. Marie Coone served as the narrator. Marie prepared an outstanding narration that helped us focus on worship and God’s love. Fred Boswell offered song with his saxophone. MaryKaye Cochran shared a solo. The message on the third Sunday of Advent focused on joy. Rev. Dr. Gwen Andrews preached from Isaiah 35:1-10. We were challenged to remember that God is with us everyday. There is a highway to heaven that we all are on and we are not alone. Dr. Michael Ross led the music.
